Colorado Springs Cadet Chapel + Spruce Mountain Ranch Wedding - Mallory & Adam
I am so excited to share some beautiful inspiration from Mallory & Adam's Colorado Springs Cadet Chapel + Spruce Mountain Ranch wedding!
Rustic, yet classy reception details paired with the beautiful, stately elegance of a Cadet Chapel ceremony are perfection for this beautiful fall day. They had their reception at the ever perfect Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur, complete with themed food-stations, couches, and cafe lighting. (If you are interested in planning a food station or apps-only reception, be sure to check out my blog post on that exact thing! The APPS ONLY RECEPTION)
Mallory & Adam even shared their first dance, outdoors under twinkle lights! I love planning weddings for couples who want to make the traditions beautiful and unique, and who are focused on celebrating their wedding day with a huge smile on their face!

The day started with the usual feelings of anticipation and excitement. Adam and his groomsmen wore brown shoes, and check out the shark bite socks!
Mallory gave her girls custom embroidered robes in navy, and fun pet-themed socks for getting ready on the day of the wedding!
The lace details of Mallory's Tiadora dress added a lot of texture to her wedding day attire, and stood up beautifully to the more rustic, outdoor elements of her Colorado Springs wedding.
Her bridesmaids wore navy blue chiffon gowns. (Dress Gallery)
Mallory and Adam shared a beautiful first look! A first look offers couples an opportunity to spend more time together on their wedding day, and as a Colorado wedding planner I encourage them! They are fun, emotional, beautiful, and give you as a couple a chance to share a private moment together before the hustle and bustle of the wedding day.
They had a lot of moving parts to their wedding yet they were always on the same page, especially working with me as their wedding planner. When things got stressful they just pressed on and were very supportive of one another.
Mallory and Adam are a very fun-loving couple!
The Cadet Chapel is so majestic and beautiful! It offers metal, wood, concrete, and a stately feel that is perfect for an indoor wedding ceremony.
Large floral arrangements, candle light, and the warm ambiance of the Cadet Chapel made the perfect space for Mallory & Adam to share their vows. With a large space such as this, the floral arrangements really pop when they are made large enough to stand up to the tall ceilings, incredible windows, and massive architecture. By using large flowers and lots of greenery, our florist was able to give Mallory and Adam a unique and beautiful touch for their wedding ceremony.
I love how Mallory & Adam chose to keep their wedding party small and intimate, with just two bridesmaids and two groomsmen. The floor-length bridesmaid gowns in navy are beautiful paired with the light grey suits that the groomsmen wore. Navy ties and a soft floral color scheme of blush, ivory, and greens tied it all together.
The bouquets were made up of roses, the always-gorgeous and unique protea flower, and lots of varied greens. Stunning!
After the ceremony we moved to Spruce Mountain Ranch for the reception. Spruce Mountain Ranch is a Colorado wedding venue that has a lot of interesting and beautiful places to customize; there are LOTS of options and it's a popular spot for weddings for a reason! I love the rustic yet classy vibe of it, as it is so reflective of everything Colorado is about.
We hung flowers from the ceiling to give the reception a vintage garden feel that was a perfect match to Mallory's lace wedding gown.
A custom card box, more organic floral design by Fairytale Floral design, and a chalkboard wedding sign welcomed guests to celebrate and enjoy the beautiful reception.
Eat, Drink, and Be Married wedding coozies were an appropriate reception favor for guests that told them it was time to kick back and relax! I especially love the addition of Mallory & Adam's two dogs on the back, dressed up in wedding attire.
We kept the reception organic and simple with loose greens thoughtfully placed in yes. . .beer growlers! This added a very personal touch to this Colorado wedding.
Large couches invited guests to sit, mingle, and enjoy this relaxed Spruce Mountain Ranch reception. The fireplace was the perfect spot to accent with Colorado pine and candles, not to mention a wreath around their stunning wedding cake.
Mallory and Adam chose to have cocktail party vibe. We set up two lounge areas using rented couches and oversized chairs!
Not to mention food stations throughout where guests could bounce around and find bites that were both delicious and interesting.
The food stations we set up included a slider bar with buffalo sliders, chicken and biscuit sliders, and shrimp po'-boy sliders (YUM!). A French fry bar (so good), A street taco bar, and a Pad Thai bar. Great variety and so much fun for guests!
Each "bar" also had themed utensils. The Pad Thai had little Chinese take out boxes with chopsticks. The Slider bar little fryer baskets for the french fries, the taco bar had paper boats.
Food stations are one of my favorite ways for couples to plan their wedding receptions. It's fun, guests love it, and there are SO many cute ideas!

Can we talk about this confetti wedding cake from Sugar Plum Cake Shoppe for a moment? I love the ruffle buttercream paired with the festive confetti sprinkles!
For dessert and late night snacks, Mallory and Adam had a pretzel wall complete with salt, queso cheese sauce, cinnamon sugar, and honey mustard.
It doesn't get any better than this!
They also had a milk and cookies bar. It was AWESOME.
For the traditional dances, they celebrated under the cafe lighting and surprised all of us with fun and unexpected choreography. It was upbeat and very fun, not your traditional slow dancing!
I LOVED that towards the end of the night Mallory and Adam hit the dance floor (which was outside in late October) in faux fur coats and danced the rest of the night away.
It was truly one of the most fun, unique wedding receptions I've have ever done as a Colorado wedding planner, and I'm looking so forward to helping couples with more of this! This Colorado Springs Cadet Chapel + Spruce Mountain Ranch Wedding was one for the books.
If you are looking for a Colorado wedding planner who LOVES helping couples with fun, unique, and out of the box weddings like this, send me a note! I'd love to get to know your vision and help you put it all together.
