What To Pack For Your Beach Wedding
As your beach wedding gets closer, you’ll need to start taking care of the final details for your trip and big day! One of those details that you shouldn’t leave until the last minute is packing for your destination wedding. While you always want to make sure you don’t forget anything before a vacation, when you’re packing for a wedding, as well, you’ll need to be extra careful not to forget anything important. Here are some of the big categories you’ll need to pack for in preparation for your Isla Mujeres wedding.
Pack Your Wedding Essentials
The most important component of your packing is obviously your wedding wear. For both you and your soon-to-be-spouse, double check that you have every last piece of clothing and accessories that you’ll need on your big day. Don’t forget undergarments and comfortable clothing for getting ready the morning of your wedding and getting your hair and makeup done.
When packing your wedding essentials, plan to bring everything that you’ll need to get ready or to wear for your wedding in your carry-on luggage. While losing your luggage isn’t too common, you don’t want to take the chance that you’ll arrive at your tropical destination while your wedding dress doesn’t. Carry all your wedding essentials onto the plane and plan to have your wedding clothes steamed of any travel wrinkles when you arrive at your hotel or resort.
Pack Your Beach Gear
Don’t forget that you’re off to a tropical destination! Add all your vacation packing needs into the suitcase. You’ll need a swimsuit or two for enjoying the beautiful ocean views up close along with comfortable, cool clothing for when you’re enjoying your vacation. Don’t forget important sunny-day protection like sunscreen and sunglasses.
Choose Your Shoes
First, make sure your wedding shoes are packed in your carry-on. (Also, make sure you’ve worn your wedding shoes before your ceremony. There’s nothing worse than blisters on your wedding day!) Consider what other shoes you’ll need throughout your stay in Isla Mujeres. While a beach resort is more relaxed about footwear than other destinations, you’ll likely still need a couple of pairs of shoes. Your wedding shoes may be able to double as date-night attire if you visit local fine dining, and don’t forget a comfortable pair of sandals to wear by the pool.
Travel Clothes
While your imagination may already be kicked back on beautiful beaches, don’t forget to pack for your travels. Particularly if you’re traveling from a climate that is different from the sunny warm weather, you’ll need to include clothing to travel home in that won’t leave you unprepared when you touch down in the States.
While packing can be a hassle, it’ll take you one step closer to stepping onto the sand and celebrating your love with your partner. A beach wedding is an event you’ll remember for the rest of your lives! I can help you make it happen.
