Meet Wanda - Mexico Beach Wedding Planner

As much as I love planning weddings in Colorado, my happy place is an ocean beach. Everything about the ocean calms and centers me. It is a real treat when I can combine work and pleasure, as I do when I am working as a destination wedding planner in Cancun.

My Favorite Mexico Beach Wedding Location

I’ve created an amazing space for myself in a collaboration with a gorgeous resort in Cancun. Not only do I get to visit this magical place, but I get to work with couples looking to bring friends and family here to witness their vows.

I have two favorite things to share about Isla Mujeres (where I plan destination weddings).

1. The island is still un-jaded by tourism!
The local people still enjoy the simple things, and the island is not fancy.
Its authenticity is its charm.

2. The local people are kind, hard-working, and resilient.

The Izla Hotel, where I work, is a favorite of mine for its beauty, privacy, and world-class customer service. It’s the perfect place for a beach wedding in Cancun.

How a Destination Wedding Planner Helps

As a wedding planner, I am always the first point of contact for couples looking to plan their wedding from afar.

When you schedule an appointment, you get me. Whenever possible, one of my assistants will join us too! We are not a faceless, cookie-cutter company seeking to move couples through as quickly as possible.

Rather, we are passionate about weddings and thrive on offering a truly personal service!

All About Wanda and Blue Linden Weddings

When I'm not planning weddings in Colorado or Mexico, I am still investing time and effort into my company.

I love to network, meet with vendors to build relationships, keep up to date with technology and social media, and attending trainings that all benefit my couples.

In my "down time" I LOVE spending time with my kids!

I have two sons in college and whenever I can, I hop on a plane to visit them.

When my husband and I have the opportunity, we love to travel. In fact, we are going to Athens this spring and I am beyond excited!

Advice from a Destination Wedding Planner

Lastly, I wanted to share a bit of my BEST advice for couples planning a wedding in Cancun, Mexico.

When considering a destination wedding, you must first consider who may not be able to attend. Then, ask yourself if you are 100% ok with that.

Not everyone can afford the travel, for financial reasons or otherwise (vacation time, etc.).

Additionally, think about what is involved in international travel.

Are you and your guests comfortable with and able to travel outside of the U.S?

My second piece of advise…
