Emily & Bill: Spring Wedding at Highlands Ranch Mansion
It has been just about a year since I had the pleasure of “officially” joining the Blue Linden team and experiencing my first full wedding day! In honor of my anniversary with Blue Linden, I’d love to share with you the story of Emily & Bill and their Highlands Ranch Mansion nuptials.
The bride and groom began their day with their bridesmaids and groomsmen and didn’t hold back! Between drinks, laughs, and poker games, the two managed to get themselves dressed to the nines. They had their first look in front of the mansion and were soon joined by the rest of their wedding party to take some seriously good group photos! Elevate Photography always does a good job of loosening up our wedding parties, but this group needed very little help.
After their first look, the bride and groom and their entourage got staged for the ceremony. We love when everyone is together before walking down the aisle because it helps to alleviate nerves and gives the couple and their closest friends a chance to have a moment together before the madness ensues. The ceremony took place under the gazebo in the back of Highlands Ranch Mansion, and officiant Dan Luebcke made sure people were crying from happiness AND laughter!
The evening continued with cocktail hour on the back patio. The weather was perfect and the guests made themselves right at home. The couple finished up all of their family photos and had some time to relax and eat themselves before moving on to the grand reveal!
The grand reveal of the reception space went as planned and the night continued with amazing food and drinks from Three Tomatoes. Emily and Bill opted for an understated cake that showed off their flower color palette. With the help of Mike from Ignight Entertainment, the night transitioned smoothly from dinner to dancing, starting with all of the couples’ first dances! The dancing continued until 11:00pm when the couple was sent off to their new life as husband and wife.
This wedding was not only my introduction to wedding planning, but also to many “friendors” and the beautiful Highlands Ranch Mansion! I fell in love with every moment of the wedding day, from helping the couple stay calm, to watching them seal their vows with a kiss, to helping them dance the night away without having to worry about a thing! Thank you Emily & Bill for giving me a wonderful experience, we wish you all the best and we hope you had a beautiful anniversary!
