Evan's Memorial Chapel DU Denver Wedding - Nicole & Wes

In light of some of the crazy weather we’ve had this week here in Colorado (cold, rainy…) I wanted to share Nicole and Wes’ intimate wedding day.

They had some crazy weather too! Sleeting rain is a concern for a lot of couples, but not Nicole & Wes.

They took it in stride and didn’t let it ruin their day! In turn, they got some really fun and beautiful photos (outside)! There is SO much to love about falling raindrops and romance.

Their ceremony was at the Evan’s Memorial Chapel at DU, followed by a reception at Maggiano’s.

Nicole and Wes chose a color scheme highlighting plenty of blue (Nicole’s favorite color!). The blue flowers from Front Range Floral were romantic, full of texture, and perfect for this rainy wedding day.

These fan programs from Etsy were fun and super personalized just for Nicole & Wes.

”It’s Over, Let’s Eat’ was the last thing at the bottom of the second side. This was super fun and the perfect way to make sure that guests were ready to celebrate!

Nicole wore a traditional lace, drop-waist wedding dress for the ceremony, with a beautiful lace-edge veil that perfectly complimented her classic up-do.

After the ceremony Nicole, Wes, and Sunshine (Photographer) braved the rain. I LOVE how Nicole and Wes both have huge smiles. The rain became such a beautiful part, and memory of their wedding day.

Nicole changed into a super fun 1950’s - inspired dress for the reception.

Look closely, the crinoline underneath is also blue! I loved this look with her blue shoes and Wes’ blue tie.

Everybody moved from the DU campus to Maggiano’s for an intimate, family-style dinner reception celebrating Nicole & Wes.

This beautiful memory table, with a sweet note about the reason for the lit candle, is a fantastic way to honor loved ones in a subtle way.

Nicole has a vintage VW Bug (in blue, of course!) that she absolutely loves, so she had this adorable custom cake topper made.

I love this super personal little touch.

Gold Mine Cupcakes made three flavors of cupcakes for the reception dessert bar.

Blue flowers on each were not only beautiful, but perfect for Nicole’s blue color scheme!

We used these sweet little ceramic birds that matched her color scheme and some of the graphics.

The addition of other subtle classic details (the vase, frame, and lace tablecloth) perfectly matched Nicole’s style.

Custom Wine glasses made great favors for the guests, and we continued the classic vintage theme through to the bar with this custom graphic sign.

Sip, Sip, Hooray!

I absolutely loved planning this beautiful, intimate, friendly (and rainy!) wedding for Nicole & Wes.

Their wedding was romantic, classic, and had lots of simple elegant details that really came together and highlighted Nicole & Wes.

The rain didn’t stop us from celebrating this amazing day!
