Breathtaking Chapel Wedding Venues in Colorado

As a wedding planner, one of my greatest joys is helping couples pick out their perfect wedding venue. Over the years I’ve had the immense pleasure of watching beautiful brides and grooms commit themselves to each other in each of these locations. All of these local Colorado chapel wedding venues have their own unique charm and atmosphere, from rustic and cozy to dramatic and extravagant.

Eisenhower Chapel

The Eisenhower Chapel is the perfect wedding location for history buffs. Built in 1941 and renovated in 2007, the wooden chapel was a personal favorite of Dwight D. Eisenhower and his wife during the 50’s. Find the sixth pew on the left side and you can still sit in the president’s seat today.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Dating back to 1904, this beautiful brick church has served as the heart of Denver’s Italian community for over one hundred years. The breathtaking twin square towers, copper domes, and larger-than-life statue of Our Lady of Mount Carmel are visible from I-70 and mark the entrance to the city.

Christ the King Roman Catholic Church

If you’re looking for a traditional ceremony inside a stunning, spacious church with exquisite stained-glass windows, Christ the King Roman Catholic Church will be perfect. Built in 1947 and located just a couple miles southwest of the Denver Zoo and the Botanical Gardens, this dramatic building offers the perfect location for a truly Denver wedding.

Evans Memorial Chapel

If you’re a University of Denver fan, the Evans Memorial Chapel is a logical choice for a wedding ceremony, given its location at the heart of the campus. Nestled inside an arboretum, this non-denominational chapel offers beautiful, intimate services in front of an impressive stained glass backdrop.

Air Force Academy Chapel

Renowned for its impressive architecture, the Air Force Academy Chapel features seventeen spires made from colored glass and aluminum. Brides and grooms who have served in the Air Force will appreciate the pews that were built to resemble propellers from World War I airplanes. While the Protestant section of the building has the largest seating capacity, the building is also home to Catholic, Jewish, Buddhist, and Islamic services. However, if you want to celebrate your big day in this incredible chapel, you might have to postpone your wedding for a few years as the building undergoes repairs
